Late Weekend Post aka Lazyness

LATE POSTS, SORRY!
My weekdays were jampacked.

SATURDAY
T'was realy cold (oh, well the weather changed when the equatorial equinox began). Since I was asked to render a part in the sabbath school program, by any means I need to come early. I only slept for 4 hours for I slept really late the night before. On my way to the church with my bro, I experienced stomach upset for unknown reasons. Sabbath went on smoothly however during the AY program, I experienced extreme headache or should I say a migraine attach. It lasted for hours until the time the whole program was finished. On our way home, in the metro specifically, I vomitted a lot. Thanks to the paper bag my Mom prepared for us. That I realized, Mothers really know best. I feel relieved for a moment after that. I slept for 4 hourds when I reached home, then woke up to eat something. Good memorable day tho'. :D

SUNDAY
Our practice and bonding day. Ok, to make the story short we arrived late. 1 euro fine!!! Goodthing we weren't just 2, Mari, Claire and 2 others were also late. Goodthing tho' since we need to raise funds for AY. We practiced 2 songs and t'was really fun. Oh! yes before that we played softball over a small hill. It was actually the first time I played softball and eventually I got the hand of it. Over all... fun fun fun sunday. Thanks to my AY family. :)

Today, Ian isn't feeling good. Please do pray for his flu recovery... GET WELL SOON MAHAL! I LOVE YOU!

My Surgery Diary

OK, AT LAST I HAVE FINISHED MY DIARY FOR THE WHOLE COURSE OF MY OPERATION, FROM THE TIME OF INITIAL ASSESSMENTS UP TO THE POST-OP RECOVERY. PLEASE FORGIVE ME IF I MISS OUT SOME IMPORTANT POINTS BUT YES, I'M STILL EDITING IT UP TO THE POINT I CAN FULLY REMEMBER EVERYTHING. (OR THE ANESTHESIA IS STILL RUNNING THROUGH MY VEINS,LOL) BEAR WITH ME. ENJOY!

Hours after the surgery in my room. I can finally smile. hihih :D

The scary IV Insertion kit. Ok, credits again to Ian. :)

The journey began August 11, 2010 when I finally decided to have my initial checkup regarding my increasing abdominal girth. We have decided to have the check up in Tagaytay Hospital since its convenience in terms of distance. The Doctor named, Dr. Russel Correa an internal medicine doctor in the OPD of the said hospital made the initial assessment. He's impression was abdominal mass. He said it might be ovarian in origin but more assessment should be made to rule out it's origin. The day after (August 12, 2010,Wednesday), I had my first diagnostoc procedure UTZ of the whole abdomen. That time I was with my brother, Jake. The result of the examination was abdominal mass with a high probability of ovarian in origin. We were supposed to line up for an OB check up but we thought of going strAIght to MAMC or MMC since if I'm going to undergo an operation it
should be with my preferred hospital.

After a small talk with my Mom, I realized it is better to have my operation done in Makati Med for some private reasons. I believe I can have my recovery faster since I wouldn't have that much stress of people whom I know and for privary concerns. My OB-Gyne doctor named, Dra. Maria Lisa Gozon-Francisco examined me for the first time and decided for a stat operation. But, she needs to have examinations settled first before the surgery which is normally done. My pre-operation clearance wasn't that easy. Part of it was the very important, Pelvic UTZ to rule out if there are chances of carcinoma and to visualize the whole cyst. It turned out to be negative of pre-cancer assessment which made me a little ok. I need to have my pulmo cleared and blood exams be completed prior to surgery. Thank God after almost 3 days, everything is completed and all is set up. During these times, I had the assistance of Ian and Majo, going back and forth to the hospital and back home in Cavite. I thank them for their patience and goodness that they stayed with me all the way.
Days before my operation, my life was turned inside out. It wan't easy being in this situation as an adolescent. I said, this isn't supposed to happen and I'm still young. I prayed so hard and trusting Him that I would pass this test in my life quickly. He heard and asnwered my prayers.

I got admitted in room 557, a small private room in a clean cases unit on the 10th of August. For the first night I stayed with my boyfriend, Ian. I'm so thankful of having him during those times. He is my angel, I said to myself. My operation would be tomorrow of that day, 8.00am. The night passed without any worries. We prayed ang trusted God. We claimed His promises and relaxed.

August 11, I woke up 6.00am for the nurse instructed me to have my last bath and for the
last enema (I had my first the night before). 7.00am, 2 nurses came by for my IV insertion. They wasn't able to insert the IV for my veins are weak. Ian also tried, but, likewise he didn't make it. The doctor decided to have the IV inserted in the Operationg room. 8.00am, a nurse came and gave me my pre-meds, 2 IM injections on my both arms made me feel dizzy and a little relaxed. I was able to talk to the people around me, Ian, Jake, Majo and my Mother over the fone while I'm lying on bed for I can hardly open my eyes and stand up. For the first minutes I can still sense everything around me, what the people says, and where I was at. I can still remember the moment I entered the OR, where the Anesthesiologist tried to wake me up to introduce herself. She inserted the IV and asked to turn to side. That was the last time I remembered something. And yes, I still remember the time they cleaned and shaved off my hairs down. ^^

During that time, I can still remember that I woke up 3 times. The first time, when I opened my eyes, I saw this super big light source which I believe is the light that the surgeons are using during the operation. Second,I woke up and had a feeling that someone is touching my abdomen, a feeling like they are wiping something off my abdomen but it is a little numb. Then I fell asleep. Lastly, I woke up and this time I feel an itchy feeling around my left eye. I can lift my left arm this time to scratch off the itch but very weak. There's an oxygen mask on my face, BP cuff wrapped around my left arm and a tight feeling on my abdomen. I didn't feel any pain. I remained awake but eyes were closed for an hour I think or more, I'm not sure. I know that I'm in the recovery room. I heard a nurse telling the doctor that my HR is high so i need to be close monitored. Hydration was also ordered as I heard it. But thank God, it went down a little and heard the nurse telling me that we are now ready to go back to my room. God is really Good. :D

DAY ONE (POST-OP)
I'm already conscious the time I entered my room. There was Ian, Jake and Mamajo. My grandmother and my 2 cousins, Macky and Marvin was also there to visit me. It was so nice seeing them for I know they came a long way just to see if I'm all good. Unfortunately, I was instructed not to speak during that time, for air might accumulate in my stomach making it painful afterwards. It was also nice to know from Ian that the cyst, after FBS turned out to be benign and I thanked God so much for this. He, again, answered my prayers. That time I knew that I stayed 5 hours in the recovery room for I need my HR to be stabilized. All in all, I was out for 7-8 hours. I also realized that I had a foley catheter inserted, a very tight binder around my abdomen, an IV infused on my right hand, an IV stand with 2 lines of D5LR and an anesthetic drip with infusion pump and an epidural catheter still inserted. There was still no pain, only numbness and weakness tho I can move my extremities. Xie and Chi, my long lost friends, also came by to visit me before the day ends. These 2 girls was able to see how my epidural catheter was pulled out andhow painful it was. Before the doctor pulled it away, I had my loading dose of morphine, which made me so dizzy and weak. The anesthesiologist came to visit me and advised taht walking and stting would help me recover faster. But I know it is very impossible on the first day

DAY TWO
I woke up early, and the nurse instructed me that they will discontinue the IV for pain and I'll have the oral ones.My main IV line was to consume and before the day ends, it was taken off me. My flatus was also monitored but unfortunately, I still didn't have it up until the night time. And since I wasn't able to do my first flatus, I'm on clear liquids diet. My foley cath was also pulled out. Learning how to pee without the cath is one of the hardest challenges I need to over come. Thanks to Ian for he help me pee with water stimulation. Since I wan't able to pee in the bathroom, I always use bedpan. Ian and I could never imagine how messy it was, but still he stayed beside me helping me tho I know it's really hard for him.I'm still weak but the doctors were always there reminding me to seat, stand and walk for it'll help on my respiration, healing and circulation. Ian and Jake stayed with me during these times. I can say that this is one of the hardest days of
my operation since the effect of the IV pain meds were fading away. During the night time, I can feel where my incision was.I can now experience pain, but the good Lord help me sustain it.

DAY THREE
2nd day of pain and adjustments. On this day, I woke up so early in the morning. I asked Ian to assist me on a sitting position. I have decided to do this to ease the "ngalay" of my back and legs. It seems so easy to do the sitting position but it's a little awkward tho' because of the discomforts I felt on my shoulders and lower back and diffuclty of breathing at some points especially after meals. But this time, after 1 suppository of dulcolax I began to defecate and do normal flatus. I was able to eat full diet. Full assistance was still needed. It was a good idea to wash myself esp my hair because it smells a lot (i think of anesthesia.. :) Oh, Tita daisy and kids also came by and Ian's friends from the hospital.

DAY FOUR
sabbath day, Majo's family came by, as well as Tita Eta and Tita and Adet. My room was full of visitors that time when my friends from college also dropped by to visit. I'm still weak to laugh at their jokes but I'm happy to see them after almost 2 years. Ian and Jake still stayed with me up to these times. My appetite for food increased and more energized than before. I can still experience DOB at times, but it's tolerable.

DAY FIVE
We really wanted to go back home, since the doctor told us that she already had the going home order. Our decision of going home this day was disapproved by Majo telling us to stay one more night to be sure that I'm all good. Ian and Jake, once again stayed with me. I can sit by myself and go back to lying down position alone, tho' sometimes I coudn't. It depends.

DAY SIX
All bills were settled as well as the professional fees. Majo came early in the morning before the cutoff. Ian also went with us back in Cavite. We rode a Taxi back home. Thank God that we reached home safe and we can finally rest.

My recovery after this operation became so easy because of Ian, honestly. He stayed with me and never complained. I thank God for him, his endless love and care. I can never find someone like Ian, I'm lucky to have him in my life. My parents too, got worried so much that my Mama wanted to go to the Phils for my operation but I insisted that I can do this with Ian and the rest. I also wanted to thank my parents for the support and never ending prayers, they are also my inspiration. My parents love me so much that they were not able to enjoy the ferie summer vacation because of my situation. As days went by, I regained strength. I started to do things and chores more freely without pains tho' I felt some tolerable discomforts. At times I can go out to malls and do a little strolls to unwind. We were able to go as far as MOA and Megamall before we left Philippines to buy the things we need to bring along with when we go back to Italy.

God has been so good to me, and He has guided me along these times giving me people that would love and care for me. During the course of this trial, I realized things that I was never reminded of before, the value of LIVING AND LOVING. God gives and He also takes. But in tough times, He never goes away but instead He does a lot of miracles and gives us gifts through the people around us. People who would care and love us despite our weaknesses without any untoward judgements. These are our Angels on earth. I'm glad I met my angels. :)

Praise be to God.

My First Pet Plant

Before the day ends we went with my parents in Esselunga to do buy some food stuffs. As i went down the aisle I saw this cute little plant on one of the plant shelves. It caught my attention and had no second thoughts of buying it for such a cheap amount. My father said that it wouldn't last for a long time and this plant is good only for a week. Well, I though I can make it last for a couple of months. It serves as a challenge for me tho, but when I saw the tiny roots, tiny stems and tiny leaves I, likewise sense that it is weak. Yes, it looks weak but I know it can survive. I have a strong confidence that it will. Honestly, I don't have a green thumb nor I don't know the exact name of this plant, but I'll try to take care of it the best I can.

Suddenly, I just correlate this plant to a relationship. The life of this plant as the relationship it self and the soil and the plant as the 2 persons in love. If only the soil and plant hold on to each other without letting one of them lose the other, surely they'll stay alive. The sunlight and water as understanding ang love will keep them alive as well. With the collaboration of these these things together, 100 percent it'll make a good strong plant no matter how weak it looks. Looks are very much deceiving, remember. :D

Adventist Youth: 1st Practice and Bonding

September 19, 2010.. yesterday we had our 8 hr practice of the songs that we are planning to sing for the up coming Youth Congress in Verona. Basically, my brothers and I don't have an idea if we are gonna make to join the group since we are informed that it is during the holiday season ( family bonding time, yuletide... :D) But then again we are hoping that it is scheduled before or after the yuletide season.

We had our practice inthe church. The Tagalog Church is outside of the main center of Milano. With that said we need to take a long train ride and a bus ride to get there ( if there are no bus skeds, by all means you have to take a cub). Since the place is far from our house, we came late. Marc and I attended but Jake (unfortunatelt) wasn't able to join. We did a lot of stuff including votations of officers, plans for a couple of months ahead and practice 2 songs. And! yes we ate ate ate :))

After 18.30 we decided to go home but the rest planned to go to a certain birthday celebration where we were invited. The day is tiring but, I guess it is pretty fulfilling to let the day pass without us wasting it. We enjoyed and glad that we met a very funny group that would go a long way.

We reached home 9 in the eve. And, yea, I talked to Ian for a couple of minutes before parking and closing the day...

Stone Exhibit at Palazzo Reale

The day at the start was so gloomy. Good thing my Ian completed my day with a small talk over the net. 15.30 we decided to go out and enjoy the cold sunny weather thinking that it might be one of the last good weather of milan since autumn is fast approaching. We bought a little in H&m, walk a little, do a little spesa and went home. Tomorrow we are planning go in Via Annunziata to inquire about the OSS Corso that I'm planning to do for this anno scholastica..

The Cold Milan and the Family's Day Out

Fall is fast approaching. The cold wind in the morning that lasts until the late afternoon is very evident. I realized how the seasons change so fast so as the things around us change in an instant (like the trial I recently surpassed).

My family and I went out go unwind and have a dinner outside the house. I realized that somehow I miss Milan and it's people. I wish Ian is with me. I always remember him everytime I feel happy. I hope God will make our plans possible for us to be together happily.

From NAIA to DOH to MXP

Travel from Italy to the Philippines and vice versa takes around 16-17 hours. It's like you are travelling on the ather side of the world. Yes, we just came from a long tiring and stressful travel back in Milan. Aside the fact that I'm feeling extreme sadness from going far from Ian, I encountered several trials along my way. Recently, I noticed that trials come in my way but God gives me courage to face them and guidance and blessings (these are the people behind me helping me to get thru it successfully).

I have decided to update this blog from Ian's request to do so. He's a big fan of my entries here, Reading my blog entries way 4 years back up to present. I easily give in to his request easily when it comes to matters of remembrances and memories. He is my angel on earth, my bestfriend and my future. I can never imagine my life without his support. I believe I can never find another Ian in this world. God has been good to me all the time.. By the way, IT IS OUR 33TH MONTHSARY TODAY!!

I haven't rested yet. I only slept for 2 hours (but I told Ian I'll be online in an hour). Mama and Papa came by and we shared stories, especially the operation I had. We realized we miss each others company. The weather changed totally. From Malpensa the temparature was 9 °c, too cold for me wearing short shorts a sleeveless and a thin sweater. In short, fall is coming. Ever since, I hate this season.

How's that Dateless Vday?

2 years of dateless Vday isn't bad at all. So basically 1 out of 3 Vdays (gotittt). So my new laptop is going really busy this Vday. I'm planning to stay all day long on my bed. Thanks to this flu I got from somewhere. I'm hoping for a good sunny day today ( hello dear, it's winter). If the sun shines, I'd rather go out than to stuck myself with the virus or bacteria within me hehe. Sometimes, I thank God for letting me experience this for I got the chance to relax even for a while. No work for tomorrow. I believe I'm somewhat contagious or something, bad for the babies.
So yeah, the Vday is just started. Let see what waits for me this day.
Happy hearts day Ian!! You know I love you sooooooooooooo dearly. To sum it all, you owe me 2 dozen of white roses. Yihah.

The Feast of Sant'Ambrogio

It was predicted that the weather today should be "rainy". But since it is a feast of a saint, it turned out to be the opposite. Though the wind blows really strong, the sun was shining a lot more than we thought of. In short, the day was awesome.

We are complete today, my family. We were able to go for a walk along Piazza Castello while enjoying the Autuno's wind. It was a really a day to remember.

On the mean while, before the said giro we had, I* and I should have talked over skype but unfortunately we didn't. I was really disappoint to the fact that I managed to wake up this morning hoping to get the chance of talking to him. But in the end (just like any other fairy tales ended, lol) we turned out to be in good terms again. Soon, we'll be together mahal. I'm working on it.

Back to work tomorrow. I don't know if it is a fine day after this but whatever it is.. it's still a busy day for me. Ciao for now. Parking cars :D

The Pink Scarf

I've been eyeing for a pink scarf in one of the botiques (pimpkie) in via torino. It costs 15 euros. Good thing I was able to stop by in Tezenis Portello this evening and found the a pink scarf which is almost the same as the one I saw in Pimpkie. Meno male, for only 5.90 I was able to buy it. Haha. Ting ting One point!

The day was really fine. Sun is shining really brightly but the wind chills are still there. I started to feel the feeling I felt when I first came here, the coldness. I'm not so happy, honestly. IDKW. :|

Things to do tom. 1. Laundry 2. Clean the house 3. Go to church 4. Chat with Ian (Miss him always) 5. Rest. After tomorrow, work again. It isn't cool. The only thing that I'm looking forward this Monday is my pay. So tell me to smile now. Hehe.

Stressful Friday

I had a long tiring work today. Good thing it's a friday. :D Counting days to celebrate our anniversary. I'm up to something good, I haven't finalized yet what to do. Maybe this weekend I'll find a way to think and hopefully to come up with a bright idea. It's my turn now. Baybayuuu.

Etchoserang Dinedepensahan ang Sarili

The rant part. (If somebody will react again, I'm gonna jump for joy)
I admit it. Some people hate me. And I love them from hating me. There is a saying that goes.. "You are nobody if you're not talked about". Therefore, I'm not one of those. Hehe. So.. still they hate me from not being a nobody.. (which is kinda weird). And so I have concluded that those people who are in the Nobody clan hates me. Now I have realized how hard it is to be nobody. All talk but haven't proved anything yet. Haha. Trying hard ampota.
^^ I hope it's clear.

Moving on, I've got my salary for the half of the month. I'm planning buy something for myself this xmas. Every payday I make it a point to buy something worth having. Life abroad is ectremely different from the Philippines where you need to budget everything and don't let money pass through your hands without even saving a little for emergency puposes. So, I buy wisely. I only buy the necessary. Since life on earth isn't certain, I'm planning to save up for my Sss fund. I know this is an old move but yeah, I think it is important. Kung may sinuksok may may madudukot. Hehe.. So.. I need to help myself.

Ian. Ti amo da morire..

May kamuka daw ako dito. Sino? Tae.. Pangaers.

Over time, Over and Over Again (Ufffaa)

So tired from work. The OTs are just call of duty, not my personal desire (to earn extra money.. nooo!). I earn enough to support my pleasures and to help the people I need to help so yes, I don't need OTs. But since they are requesting me to do it, I have no choice. But please, if they know a thing such as "mercy", they would spare me even for a while. Hayyy.. :(

Buona notte tutti. Ci sentiamo. :| Devo riposare un'po. Prendo energia per domani. Hihi!

Luck as Destiny

Most of the people who believe in luck believe that some seemingly extra-ordinary events – good or bad – happen in their lives which are beyond their control, and such events are happening because it is written, i.e. it is their destiny.

If you strongly believe that everything in your life happens as written and you can not control or avoid it then somewhere down inside your activeness is lessened, because you believe that if you are destined to have something then you will have it anyway, and if it is not your destiny then you will never have it however hard you try. Moreover, you will stop taking credit for the good things that happen to you and thereby lose out on important confidence-building experiences of life; and at the same time you will stop bearing accountability for the bad things that happen to you and thereby lose out on learning important lessons of diligence with life. By attributing everything to destiny you be loser both ways!

When you believe in destiny you don’t put in your entire efforts because you are always skeptic about whether the thing is in your destiny at all. When you believe in destiny you believe that destiny governs your life. Destiny is active. The stronger your belief that destiny is active, more passive you be.

On the other hand, stop believing in destiny for a change. There is nothing written. No destiny. That means everything is in your control. You yourself can shape your destiny. When you will realize that there is nothing written about your life and you are in complete charge of your life you will have the reason to do everything most actively.

Isn’t active living more full of life than passive living? It is needless to say when you are active the events in your life are more in your control. Of course, it won’t always be in control, but if so happens, then that is what would have happened anyway if you had believed in destiny!

In short, believing in destiny would not change anything except making a loser of you. But by not believing in it you can take full control of your life and be active. Stop being a loser. Feel completely alive!

The Gay Lingo

I love gays. Or maybe because I'm a gay too. It is said that girls are tagged as gays once they act like gays, so yeah there's such a word as gay girls (.. the term i got from a magazine). Based on studies, our society started to accept the nature of these funny beings (gays..) in the late 80's where a lot of gay personalities were known. I can say that these people have high intellectual capabilities. Why? Because both sides of their brains are working ( feminine and the masculine side). Kidding aside, I like how gays rationalize on different situations, the way they dress and groom themselves, the way they cope with "discrimination" and most of all how they speak.

In the Philippines, there is a unique way gay talking. I have never heard of gay languages from other countries other than in my home country. So I'm half-proud. Lol. Swardspeak is a vernacular language derived from Englog (English-Tagalog) and is used by a number of gay Filipinos. By using swardspeak, Filipino gay men are able to resist the dominant culture of their area and create a space of their own.

Watch this. Have fun!

Why I Stopped Forum-ing?

I'm off to being a forum addict. To people who are internet freaks, they know what I mean. I've been active in several forums such as Rakista.com, Pinoyunderground, Banidad and recently (which I mean the latest, Teenhut.net). I'm not saying forum-ing is bad. Since 2006 I've been busy actively posting on mentioned sites. I've gained a lot of online friends from doing so. These are friends which make my cyber life extra huge (not just exchanging thoughts which friends met personally). I can say that once you start posting in forums, you'll find it hard to stop it especially if the people you're meeting are really nice. For me, it is really a good way of keeping yourself busy at the same time you can cyber-socialize.

Now, for almost a month now hindi pa ako nagoopen ng mga sites I used to spend my time with. I can say that after 3 years, I feel na sawa na ako. I spend a lilttle more time on web hopping and focusing more on the real life, which I think is "reality". More likely, I'm indulge in focusing to what really is important, family, career and love (yes, love). These are the thing I believe(strongly..) worth wasting time with. I'm 22 and I'm not getting any younger. The point? Obviouly, I should be preparing for my family's future and as well as mine.

I'm not discouraging people not to be active in forums, thread posting etc. I'm just answering the questions people are asking me especially my cyber friends. (Guys, love ko kayo..) Okerns. Bye!

Ooopss. I'll promote the sites.

Sad Ako.

There is no perfect relationships. I totally agree. Trials in a relationship makes it a lot sweeter, for lessons are learned and mistakes are being cleared out. Wala lang, I finally realized how important honesty is in a relationship. Hindi dahil sa hindi ako honest ( 101% honest ako, fyi), pero I believe open communication should be praticed. I'm vocal to what I am feeling to my boyfriend. He knows me a lot, my flaws and the limitations i have. Though these are visible, there are a lot more things that he doesn't know. Things that I think if I tell him would make him think indifferently. I sometimes deny feelings of insecurities and jealousy. I don't want to look "kawawa" or whatever negative feedbacks he might think of. As we talked (yesterday), I have decided to tell him whatever that is bugging me. Since we are in a LDR, I can't help but to worry. I explained every bit of frustrations I 'm feeling, insecurities and jealousy (some are not new). After, I feel a lot more better. I cried to let it all out. And it feels so good. Thank God, he understands me. I believe him when he says "everythings fine".. and "i love you". I give him all the trust that I have, he's all worth it. I'm religiously praying for a healthy relationship. I'm sad right now, for reasons that I don't know. I'll be a lot more better tomorrow. I promise. :)

Facebook Madness

Advertising my Facebook account. Feel free to add me, or other wise forever hold your desire. Hohoho. :x

I would appreciate if you're playing Pet Society, Restaurant City and Sorority Life. I'm so fed up with invites for Mafia Wars, Farm Town.. Etc. I don't play them. Period.

One thing more. While browsing friend's friend's list, I accidentally found out that there's an account "Jems Camitan" + with my picture. It isn't a big thing since I know how dirty WWW is. Just want to let you know that it's f-a-k-e. Kerns? Babay!

Astroboy the Boy Robot

Astroboy the Movie. The robot boy is back. I can still remember when I used to watch this when I was a little younger. I really need to see this. Though I wasn't able to watch it regularly but the story of Astroboy that I know is only limited to how I see it in it's original series. Hope this comes out well.
